This was arguably Columbia’s best portable wind up gramophone, made between 1928 and 1932.
It is in great playing condition and has had it’s Garrard No. 50 motor cleaned greased and adjusted to accurate speed. It winds easily and easily plays right through any 78 record.
The Columbia No. 9 soundbox has had new rubber seals and has had it’s bearings cleaned and adjusted. It sounds loud and clear without distortion or rattles and has a nice warm tone. I think it sounds better than many electric record players.
Cosmetically this machine would be about 8 out of 10 and could be improved with a bit of TLC but is solid and presentable.
If you message me I will send you a video of it playing.
It is very heavy so pick up is preferred. I could arrange postage but it would not be cheap! Please message me to arrange this.
