Lodestar was built in 1958 and after over 40 years of reliable cruising, was given a full refit throughout 2002 / 2003. Work included: hull stripped back to raw timber, then after a prolonged drying period was prepared and covered in three layers of fibreglass. Original decks were removed and new decks laid, whilst the interior was stripped back, spray coated with numerous coats of resin to seal, then finished with flo-coat. The Perkins diesel was removed and fully reconditioned and has since then, clocked up around 800hrs. With a decent size galley, two single berths, enclosed toilet space and plenty of space for a table and chairs she'd be a very capable entertainer or overnighter; whilst her huge rear deck and polite sea manner makes for an excellent fishing boat.
