An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Part-Time Veterinarian to join our busy team for a 9 month Fixed-Term contract working every Thursday, Friday and 1 in 4 Saturdays. The hours can be flexible for the right applicant. The right candidate will have a commitment and passion for high level patient and client care and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, whilst demonstrating strong communication skills, along with having a collaborative team approach.

You will be a proactive Companion Animal Veterinarian, with a passion for preventative healthcare and experience in providing a full range of diagnosis & treatment options to your clients. You will have access to a full suite of in- house blood chemistry analysers, full body and dental digital radiology and an ultrasound and X-ray machine. We have a great relationship with our local referral veterinary hospital and local referral clinicians.

What you can offer us:

BVSc or equivalent, and registration to practice in New Zealand
An experienced and confident Veterinarian with ideally at least 4 years’ practical experience
A commitment to provide exceptional patient care
Ability to oversee the caseload and work autonomously
Exceptional communication and client relationship building skills

This position offers a negotiable base salary range of $50,000 - $90,000 (pro rata for part-time), dependant on the suitable applicant’s skills and experience. Whilst NVC seeks to source applicants who meet the above criteria and skill set, alternative applicant’s may still be considered. In these cases, the base salary is subject to change to suit.
