Figtree Vet Clinic is located on the Lower North Shore of Sydney, just 15 minutes from the CBD. Our clinic has been a part of the Lane Cove community for over 25 years, gaining us an exemplary reputation amongst local pet owners. We are a fully equipped GP practice, with ultrasound, digital radiology, iM3 dental machine and Vet-Tome, dental xray, tonometry, in-house IDEXX laboratory including Catalyst One, Lasercyte and Sedivue as well as capnography, ECG and blood pressure monitoring.

The successful candidate will be working alongside a strong team of highly skilled and motivated nurses; while our vets have over 60 years of experience between them, with a broad range of special interests. Figtree Vet Clinic offer fantastic working conditions and work-life balance. We are open Monday-Friday 8am-7pm, Saturday 8am-4pm and closed Sundays and Public Holidays. About you:

You will be a Cert IV qualified nurse with at least 3 years’ experience, who can fill the role of a Senior nurse within the clinic.
AVNAT Registration will be viewed favourably.
Proficiency in animal handling is essential, as is a commitment to animal welfare and the use of low-stress handling.
Confidence in managing clinic workloads, complicated anaesthetics, and high-level medical nursing skills.
Proficiency in venepuncture, catheter placement and basic pathology is beneficial, as is previous experience with RX Works.
Impeccable communication and customer service skills are a must for the position, which will involve some reception work, nurse consults and admission/discharge consults.
The role will involve mentorship and coaching of other nurses, so leadership and teaching skills will be highly valued.
