Job Description
Translate the brand into an inspiring digital visual language that represents a global leader of higher education in design and technology
Manage and maintain the design system and components in alignment with brand guidelines and for all audiences across digital channels
Design and coordinate the over art direction for their digital channels (web, apps, eDMs)
Liaise with channel owners to gather functional and design requirements
Oversee the development and delivery of effective user interfaces across digital channels
Communicate and present design rationale to key stakeholders
Work closely with the UX Design team to ensure all websites and apps deliver optimal experience for the user
Work closely with developers to ensure quality of outputs is aligned to the design vision
Grow, mentor, support and evaluate the internal design team
The Successful Applicant
5+ years' experience working in digital design roles
Proven ability to lead and deliver a holistic digital art direction
Advanced knowledge of UI design principles and techniques, including responsive and mobile design
Experience in creating or managing a digital design system or GEL (Global Experience Language)
Strong working knowledge of HTML5/XHTML, CSS3 and JavaScript
Experience managing and mentoring junior designers
Strong portfolio of previous work examples
Advanced skills in Abode Creative Suite, Sketch and Invision
Strong working knowledge of Interaction Design and UX
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development processes
