Job Details:
Your New Employer is an International Engineering Systems and Services Company with a long standing presence in Australia. Internationally, it has a $3bn turnover and a major player in 100 countries. The ANZ operation is growing substantially, contributing well to the parent company. This role is part of the Leadership Team and is critical to the continued growth of the ANZ operations.
In your new role, you will manage major projects from implementation to handover. You will manage the standard for project delivery of engineered systems that your Company designs, builds, installs and supports for industrial clients in key industries such as food manufacturing, distribution centres, pharmaceutical and manufacturing. You will
Manage high level relationships with Clients and trusted supplier organisations
Develop implementation programmes
Design and strengthen procedures and processes for safety systems and construction worker safety
Project Manage the large projects
Manage and coordinate resources internally as well as engage contract services from specialist companies
Guide and train staff on managing the complex technology systems and commercial issues that arise on greenfield and brownfield construction projects
You will be a highly competent Project Manager who has a solid track record in managing technically complex projects upwards of $20m. You will have an engineering systems background together with construction experience. You will also need to be technically focussed to understand software, controls integration, electrical hardware, robotics and conveyer systems to ensure effective project implementation. Your industry experience may include FMCG, automated warehousing solutions, industrial control systems or similar. You will be a leader capable of adding value, integrity and rigorous process to an already successful and growing business. You will be degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical, Mechatronics or equivalent, and maybe have obtained or are in process of obtaining postgrad qualifications in management. But more important are your experiential competencies, collegiate attitude, common sense and motivation to lead and inspire.
PS – This role has upside. You could be earmarked to progress to a full P&L role for the Projects Division, and manage Project and Site Managers.
