The successful applicant must have the ability to teach Mandatory Technology, Textiles and Design and Food Technology. The ability to also teach Hospitality will be highly regarded.

Extensive, contemporary and authoritative professional knowledge and understanding of the teaching of technology and the factors that influence learning and the development of skills.
An outstanding knowledge of the relevant subject area.
Understanding of how to differentiate learning to cater for students needs in order to maximise student learning.
Committed to the continual improvement of your teaching practice and take opportunities for personal professional development.
Sound understanding of the learning environments, lesson plans, use of technology, teaching practices and delivery of assessment and learning feedback.
Work creatively and constructively within a range of 'communities' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for yourself and your students.
Exhibit personal approaches characterised by caring and respect for others.
The successful candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

Current qualifications and experience teaching Mandatory Technology
Current qualifications and experience teaching Textiles and Design (Stage 6)
Current qualifications and experience teaching Food Technology (up to Stage 6)
High quality classroom management skills.
The ability to build effective relationships and manage complex interactions and balancing the development of skills and knowledge.
Strong ICT skills with the ability and willingness to integrate the appropriate technology into their teaching.
The ability to create engaging, intellectually challenging and safe learning environments through planning, implementing and evaluating rigorous and inclusive learning programs.
The ability to use effective pedagogies, a range of differentiated assessment approaches and a wide variety of stimulating and interactive resources to enhance student learning outcomes.
Strong communication and organisational skills ensuring that reporting deadlines are met.
Able to motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learning.
Able to create effective assessment techniques and have the flexibility to differentiate learning activities for students.
