Our Product Development team is now accepting applications for a Software Engineer to work on new ventilation devices for Respiratory Care.

The product development team is integral to the development of the Respiratory Care business. This team operates cross functionally and utilises best practice to provide products that will meet requirements for the global market.

As a Software Engineer, you will operate within a project team and will be tasked with responsibility for the design, development, documentation, testing and support of products from concept through to production in the most cost and time efficient manner whilst operating within ResMed Quality Standards.

This is an outline of the technologies and development environment we use:

C++ / Python programming languages and Object Oriented design
Embedded software development including application, device interface, real-time control and graphical user interface functionality
Test, verification and validation traced to requirements and utilising automated Behaviour Driven Development techniques
Agile/SCRUM development process
Development environment including MS Visual Studio, gcc, SVN, Jenkins, JSON, Jira, Jama, Winows/Linux
What you need is a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with some software engineering experience, and a passion to develop technology that will impact people’s lives.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in medical device product development role.
