Job Details: New opening for a Front- End Angular Developer to join an end client in Sydney for a permanent role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Node.js Developer who is passionate about the financial services industry and is able is to ensure you develop quality solutions that fulfil the business and customer’s needs. This role reports to the Development Manager.




Key Selection Criteria
Writing code in TypeScript targeting a Node.js runtime
Writing unit and integration tests
Exposing APIs for others to reuse using Express and Apache Thrift
Building new features that put everyday Australians in control of their finances
Getting your software released to production
Test what you built in the real world



Experience
Commercial experience building backend solutions with TypeScript and Node.js (NodeJS)
Experience working with databases and integration technologies, e.g. REST SOAP, Queuing technologies.
Some experience with Docker and ideally Kubernetes
Experience with a cloud platform, preferably AWS
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an appropriate field of study
Essential
3+ years of experience as an engineer
Work well with others, ability to compromise
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Some experience with agile
Experience with continuous integration tools e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo
Desirable Essential
Desirable
Worked with Java, Kotlin or Scala in the past
Experience in banking or financial services
Some experience with Docker and Kubernetes
