The role
Sessional Tutor in trimester 1, 2 and 3:
As a Sessional Tutor in the Film, Television and Animation course, you will make an important contribution to the discipline(s) and unit(s) for which you are engaged. You will prepare and conduct tutorials, consult with students, undertake assessment and attend meetings as required by the Unit Chair.

Required:
Candidates must be experienced in ProTools software and post production sound practices.

Required:
Creditable experience in filmmaking, preferably in producing or directing and ability to teach across departments and Black Magic URSA Mini workflow.
ACA202 Directing and Acting for the Screen
Required:
Candidates must have knowledge, experience and skill in acting and directing for the screen, especially teaching student directors how to prepare. Directing acting performances for the screen will be highly regarded.
ACF206 Contemporary Topics in Screen Cultures: Film Festivals
Required: Film/cinema studies background
ACF208 – Cinematography
Required:
Experience in Digital Cinema cameras and lighting equipment operation and safety, shot and lighting composition and continuity.
ACF209 Experimental Screens
Required:
Experience in filmmaking, camera, sound and editing. Some knowledge of the history and practice of experimental approaches to screen production and related artforms is desirable.
ACF211 Screen Careers
Required:
Creditable understanding of the film industry in Australia and experience in filmmaking.
ALC304 - The Celebrity Industries: Star Images, Fan Cultures and Performance
Required:
Film/cinema studies background and also some experience in filmmaking.
ACF307 – Major Screen Project A – Development
Required:
The candidate will demonstrate knowledge, experience and skill in screenwriting practice and three act structure, especially in the short film format.
A working knowledge of the short film, studio based TV, documentary and animation landscape, which includes preproduction, production and exhibition, will be highly regarded.

Required: Film/cinema studies background
ACA401 – Advanced Creative Practice A
Required:
Please note that this is a FTVA Honours unit so will need the required qualifications. The candidate will need a working knowledge and experience in screenwriting, especially the short film format. Experience in a writers room will be highly regarded.
ACA493 – Research Project 3
Required:
Please note that this is a FTVA Honours unit so will need the required qualifications. The candidate will have experience in short film production.
ACF706 - Story Telling on Screen
Required:
Film/cinema studies background and also creditable experience in filmmaking.
ACF710 Screen Production: Advanced Techniques
Required:
An ability to teach all location production roles using digital cinema cameras and workflows. This includes camera operation and data management; lighting; sound recording and boom swinging; principles of art direction; staging and blocking; principles of shooting for continuity; crew roles and location procedures.
