Job Summary: The work is regionally-based and delivered throughout Queensland with support provided by central office in Brisbane CBD and the Wildlife Management Unit in which the Wildlife Officer position is a part of.
Job Details:• Manage and lead a team responsible for large and complex work priorities
• Prioritise and delegate workload for the team, manage and review work being undertaken and provide opportunities for skill development
• Facilitate continuous improvement in work practices
• Interpret legislation, regulations and other guidelines relating to the operational function of the team
• Manage field monitoring activities (e.g. flying-fox roost monitoring, crocodile population survey)
• Provide response service and in cases manage incident control in relation to wildlife incidents
