Job Summary: Working closely with the farm management team, the Senior Agronomist is responsible for the provision of agronomic advice for potatoes, onions and broadacre crops. You will develop and implement appropriate strategies and methods to ensure maximum crop production while determining and sourcing the best products and practices to support optimal growth. Responsible for all pre planting agronomy, the role undertakes soil testing, result interpretation and dissemination of advice to determine the appropriate chemicals, fertilisers and application techniques for each crop. Providing regular reports to the management team, you will conduct fortnightly sampling and interpretation of soil moisture and plant nutrition levels while also checking and appropriately managing pests, disease and other crop issues.
