The Opportunity:
WorkPac Professional currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Track Geometry Engineer for an Immediate Start. This position will be residentially based within Karratha or FIFO from Perth with highly competitive hourly rates on offer for the successful applicant dependent on skills and experience.
Job Details:
Reporting to the Stream Superintendent of Engineering duties will included provision of? engineering support to the Superintendent Engineering to ensure the management of Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) rail assets specifically, but not limited to, turnout layout and geometry as well as open track geometry, accordance with RTIO rail standards. This role involves engineering input, the coordination and management of work scopes, engineering studies, data analysis as well as extensive field work.
Key Accountabilities will Include:
Provide engineering expertise and input into planning, scheduling and quality improvement of track geometry works
Assist in the development of design, scoping, costing, and task optimisation relative to track geometry by implementing engineering standards and best practices
Liaise with other key stakeholders to ensure optimum use of applicable plant, equipment and execution methodologies
Define list of scopes from contractors for execution with verification in field of scope
Conduct compliance checks of completed work to RTIO Code of Practice, specifications and Asset Management standards
Assist the Engineering Leadership by providing engineering input in the development and implementation of the annual works plan
Liaise and interface with other engineering and execution stakeholders in the analysis and data development for track geometry annual plans, improvement tactics as well as innovative technology and tools
Assist with productivity improvement initiatives for the stream
About You:
Relevant Tertiary Qualifications - Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent
M1 Safe Working Certificate - Highly Regarded
Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure - Highly Regarded
Experience within the Rail Industry - Mandatory
Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
The below experience would be highly desirable:
Qualifications in Project Management
First Aid Certificate
Experience in SAP and Cost Controlling
Experience in Materials Management
Experience in stream technical knowledge
