We are currently looking to engage a Principal Workplace Relations Advisor who can support an enterprise wide program of work for a large and complex Government organization.
Working as part of a well-established and high performing team, you will be responsible for providing high level advice on workplace relations matters for the organization and related government agencies to support the achievement of workplace relations objectives.
The environment would best suit an experienced professional with both commercial and government expertise.
Job Details:
Role Responsibilities:
- Undertake workplace relations activities and projects in relation to the organization and related agencies to provide advice and resolve industrial disputes and associated matters and minimise disruption to services
- Research and evaluate workplace relations initiatives including undertaking cost benefit analyses and impact assessments in order to assess and advise on their relevance and their potential impact on Government objectives
- Provide sound information and advice on current and emerging workplace relations issues to Senior Executives and key staff within the organization, public organisations and related government agencies to ensure issues are satisfactorily resolved or addressed; and provide advice to support managers to consistently interpret and apply industrial instruments, policies and practices and resolve industrial matters
Experience Requirements:
- Significant experience in the analysis and management of major industrial relations situations and projects in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Significant knowledge and understanding of State and Federal industrial systems, with significant experience in the interpretation and application of industrial processes and policies.
- Significant skill and experience in the conduct of complex and sensitive negotiations including analysing potential financial implications and preparing and advocating cases before the Industrial Relations Commission and other tribunals
- Demonstrated skills and experience in managing all aspects of policy research, development, review and evaluation
