THE ROLE:
The work will be fast-paced and varied. Performing maintenance and small project works predominately within local government and commercial buildings, a can-do attitude is a must and the ability to problem solve. The role includes, but is not limited to:
Respond promptly to customer requests for maintenance assistance
Carry out maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to customers
Undertake general plumbing maintenance for building facilities
Raise and close off work orders within specified timelines
Ability to quote works
Utilise leading Facilities Maintenance technology to complete works
Select and use appropriate equipment safely and in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions and our policies and procedures
Upskilling and taking on ad hoc tasks to assist the business
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
A Grade Qualified (Certificate III) or relevant Plumbing Qualification
Satisfactory White/Red Card, Police and Working with Children clearances or the ability to obtain this when requested
Demonstrated understanding of OH&S responsibilities, functions and practices
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of our team, mentoring apprentices
Time management and problem-solving skills
Strong technical understanding
Professional presentation
A desire to succeed within a supportive team environment
