About the Role
This dynamic role will see you responsible for the end-to-end payroll lifecycle for over 1200 employees, ensuring timely and accurate processing for both fortnightly and monthly pay runs.
Responsibilities:
Processing all new starters into payroll, including manual timesheets in a timely manner;
Assisting with back pays and termination including the calculation of termination payments;
Preparation of monthly payroll reports and end of year processing and reconciliation;
Processing superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG taxes and workers compensation;
Providing exceptional customer service to all Payroll related queries;
Working closely with the People & Culture team to ensure all employee information is accurate; and
Identify and implement areas of opportunity and suggest ways to enhance existing payroll related controls.
About you
You will be an experienced and hands on Payroll Officer with strong end to end payroll knowledge. You will have at least 3 to 5 years payroll experience and be system savvy.
Additionally, you will have:
Experience with Preceda is desirable, not essential;
Intermediate excel skills;
Ability to interpret awards and EBAs;
Sound understanding of payroll legislation across Australia;
Continuous improvement mindset and strong problem solving skills;
Ability to adopt a highly agile approach to their work practice;
Excellent time management skills and an ability to prioritise;
High level stakeholder engagement.
