Adecco has several clients within a manufacturing environment based in the northern suburbs seeking experienced MIG welders. Day and afternoon shift roles are available with attractive above award rates.

Our clients are very reputable, well - known, safety focused organisations and we are expecting an increased demand for staff soon due to their winning of large-scale tenders and projects.

Description

Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to required configurations and positions for welding
Remove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers
Operate safety equipment and work to site specific required safety procedures
Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment
Profile

Read basic drawings
Working to a production schedule, following processes and procedures to ensure timeliness and quality of product output
Ability to produce high quality MIG weld
Experience with reinforcing steel advantageous
Can demonstrate prior experience with the use of hand and power tools
Inspecting product for quality
General cleaning of area, cleaning and shutdown plant and machines after use
Operating overhead gantry crane (ticket not essential)
