My Client, a Manufacturer of specialist engineering components are currently looking for a skilled and experienced workshop based Mechanical Fitter / Turner to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful company.
The role
The role will have you undertake a variety of tasks ranging from operating Lathes and Mills through to programming, setting up and running of SNS mills and Lathes.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the day to day efficient running of Plant Equipment.
Maintenance of plant and equipment inc; Preventative maintenance.
Diagnostics and fault finding on CNC Machinery.
Process improvement of plant and equipment.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Attention to detail.
Operate & Service Machinery.
Provide technical support to the production team.
Maintaining safe work environment.
Experience:
Trade Qualified as a Fitter / Turner OR fitter Machinist
A minimum of 4 years maintenance experience in a similar engineering role within Australia.
Must have CNC OR NC experience.
Programming Experience.
Min of 3 years operating experience.
Experience in machine building is highly desirable.
Hands on with an enthusiastic attitude.
Excellent communication skills.
Work autonomously and be a self-starter to be a part of an engaged team.
