About the Role
We are seeking an Kitchen Hand to join the Events team at SEA LIFE Melbourne.

As a Kitchen Hand at SEA LIFE Melbourne, your primary responsibility is to the full cleanliness of the kitchens & outlets, waste management, stocking of correct area’s for the functions

Further responsibilities include:
Cleaning and sanitising of the Kitchen
Liaise with Chefs, and Events Venues to ensure all required equipment is clean and set up in time for functions/outlet operating hours.
Monitor the storage and maintenance of all chinaware, glassware, silverware, kitchen hardware and other operational related items.
Coordinate the removal of all dry and wet accumulated waste.
Control the maintenance of hygienic and sanitary conditions in all food preparation areas; this includes the back of house storage areas, loading dock, food buffets, fridges, freezers, pantries.
An accredited Food Handling Certificate

About You
To shine in this role you will ideally have the ability to work well under pressure and have good time management skills.
Well presented, friendly with a professional attitude & excellent communication skills.
Can do attitude
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and a commitment to the highest level of guest service.
Available to work across any shift including morning, afternoon and overnight if required

It is essential and you will have demonstrated ability and Passion for the Hospitality industry and is committed to delivering the highest level of customer service.

You are a strong communicator and are able to build rapport across the business. Your ability to multi-task and have a flexible and adaptable approach along with the ability to meet deadlines and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are desired.
