Job Details: About This Opportunity

Provide an efficient technical and troubleshooting support for Tier 1 and 2 IT service functions for clients across the University in a Desktop support specialisation.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate should have:

Qualifications and training equivalent to an undergraduate degree in IT or related field, and subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training such as industry certifications in either networking or OS environment.
Knowledge of PC and/or Macintosh operating systems and software and their operation in networked environments, and experience providing support in several of the following PC operating system environments: Windows, Linux or Mac OS.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills particularly in documenting processes and work instructions, and interpreting client requirements.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, pay attention to detail and maintain professionalism.
Experience in dealing with people in a service capacity within an IT environment.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW level 5.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $67,608 - $ 75,506, plus 17% superannuation. The total remuneration package is in the range of $79,10136 - $88,342.02.
