About the role

What an exciting role!! We’re looking for someone to lead the alignment of Australia Post and Information Security across the board. You’ll be responsible for leading and managing a team of cyber security professionals to provide information security (IS) subject matter expertise and deliver services to the Postal Services business unit portfolio, Information Technology projects and change initiatives to support successful project delivery. The role and team acts as the main liaison between projects and the ISO function and advises on information security threats, risks and best practices to protect Post’s customers, brand and revenue

In this position, you’ll:
Provide thought leadership for strategic use and investment in Information Security

Be an active member of Postal Services business unit leadership teams

Build and develop effective working relationships across the business

Liaise with business and technology stakeholders during Major Incidents to ensure business impacts are fully understood.

Work with IS, IT and business stakeholders to ensure IS costs are transparent

Formulate, articulate and execute the IS risk assessment of all project and change initiatives and the IS strategic response

Proactively contribute to developing and improving the performance of the entire IS Engagement function

Manage staff performance and development

Develop and foster an innovative and adaptive culture

What are we looking for?

We’re after someone who understands project management, people, and the Information Security landscape. You’ll be responsible for a range of projects across the Postal Services business unit, so being a motivated self-starter with a broad range of management, communication and networking skills is a must.

To thrive in this role you’ll need a solid background in IS or IT, with a pragmatic, technical knowledge of IS infrastructures, architecture, platforms, networks and applications. We’re a large and complex organisation so we need you to have great interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across large-scale projects. And, since this is a leadership position, proven experience leading and managing a team (including matrix management) is essential. Importantly, you’ll love what you do and are driven to succeed.
