Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia is a unique Australian travel company wholly owned by the Indigenous Land & Sea Corporation (ILSC) offering experience-based holidays in spectacular wilderness locations including Ayers Rock Resort in the iconic Red Centre, Home Valley Station in the Kimberley region of Western Australia and tourism facilities at Mossman Gorge in Tropical North Queensland.

The Ayers Rock Resort complex also includes the Australian Tourism Award winning, Uluru Meeting Place, a campground, the Red Ochre Spa, the award winning Sounds of Silence (entered into the Australian Tourism Hall of Fame) as well as 15 independently branded food and beverage outlets.
Supporting this team are a number of General Handypersons who are allocated to each of our hotel properties to undertake a range of general maintenance duties, from simply changing light bulbs through to light carpentry, painting and decorating as well as general grounds, swimming pool and public area maintenance.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor you will provide general Handyperson services to our various hotels and areas at Ayers Rock. To join our maintenance team you will need to have and a background in general property maintenance, ideally within a large hotel, resort or similar public building or service environment. You will need to be competent across a number of basic trade duties, and with the use of a range of power tools.
Due to the nature and size of our resort you will also need to hold a current Australian manual drivers licence. Most of all you will be a flexible and adaptable individual capable of working with supervision and willing to work as part of a larger team to ensure our objectives are met. Previous experience of working in a remotely operated resort is highly advantageous but not essential.
