About the role:
Reporting to the Maroondah Leisure Health and Fitness Manager, you will be responsible for a large team of group fitness, mind body, cycle and aqua aerobics instructors. You will work closely with the Aquahub Group Fitness Coordinator and drive the Group Fitness program. With over 144 live classes per week, 11,500 group fitness attendances per month and a growing membership base, Aquanation has one of the largest and most dynamic group fitness programs in Victoria.

You will be responsible for:

Working with the Aquahub Group Fitness Coordinator and coordinating and leading the Maroondah Leisure Group Fitness instructor team to ensure a Group Fitness offering specifically tailored to Aquanation patrons.
Assisting in the organising and reviewing of the Group Fitness Programs and formats
Monitoring and coordinating all group fitness instructors and actively promoting staff development within Group Fitness
To be successful in this role you will have:
A passion for Health and Fitness, a strong understanding of the industry and a clear vision for Group Fitness
Exceptional customer service with the ability to build relationships with customers, respond to feedback and deliver a program that meets their needs
Current experience leading and developing a large team and understanding how to critique classes and providing ongoing training and feedback on their performance.
Certificate III & IV in Fitness
Current registration with Fitness Australia or Physical Activity Australia
Experienced in instructing Les Mills classes, aqua aerobics, freestyle classes and cycle classes
