The Role
Our client is seeking a General Labourer with experience in metal roofing and/or assisting qualified roof plumbers.
6-month ongoing role, during which you will be engaged on a Labour Hire basis working full-time hours or as required, with the possibility of ongoing, permanent work at the end of this period.
The role will involve travel to various locations between Erina and Smithfield, therefore the ideal candidate must possess their own car and current driver’s licence.

The Ideal Candidate
As a General Labourer, the ideal candidate will have experience in metal roofing and/or assisting roofers or roof plumbers, including walking sheets, laying wire, laying wool and foil, installing flashings and screwing off the roof once laid. Experience in reading/interpreting technical plans/diagrams is desirable but not essential. Relevant tertiary qualifications would also be desirable but not essential. You must have your own reliable car and current driver’s licence.
You will be looking to join an experienced, supportive team ASAP, and will be willing to work for a 6-month period during which you will be engaged on a Labour Hire basis working full-time hours or as required, with the possibility of ongoing, permanent work at the end of this period.

Required to be successful:
Current White Card – required
Current Working at Heights certificate - required
Experience assisting with roofers and/or roof plumbers
Have your own reliable car and current driver’s licence
Willing to travel to various jobs between Erina and Smithfield
Physically able to work outdoors year-round
Comfortable working at heights
Able to start immediately/ASAP
Willing to work for a 6-month period on a Casual/Labour Hire basis
Looking for ongoing/permanent work in the long term (post-trial)
Punctual, reliable and honest
Hard-working, team player with a positive attitude
Able to work under instruction and autonomously
Able to accept and action constructive feedback
