Job Summary: Melbourne VIC Temporary $30 an hour Modern retirement living facility in the far South East Suburbs looking for a gardener/handyperson

Job Details: Your new company
Our client is a prestige and recently built retirement living facility with approximately 150 units, based in the far South-East of Melbourne. Due to a vacancy, our client requires a strong all-rounder to fill the position of gardener/handyperson to commence immediately. This position will commence on a temporary basis, however with the intention to lead into a permanent role for the right candidate after approx. 3 months.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the day to day preventative and reactive maintenance of the village including the prestige grounds and buildings, whereby you will need to demonstrate and utilise your strong skills and experience of maintenance, including;

Grounds maintenance; edging, pruning, planting, mulching, mowing, fertilising and the use of relevant tools and equipment.
Handyperson maintenance; furniture removal, painting (internal and external), replacing and repairing fencing, repairing doors & locks, basic carpentry, ad hoc tasks

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, you must have;
Relevant experience in gardening and building maintenance, working within a large facility
Trade qualification in Horticulture/Parks & Gardens (desired)
Current Police Check (within last 6 months, or willing to obtain immediately)
Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
White card

What you'll get in return
$30 - $32ph + Superannuation
