Their group finance function is located in Melbourne's City fringe. Our client has experienced huge growth both organically and through a number of exciting, high profile acquisitions. They are looking for a senior leader to add value and take full ownership of this key division within the business and drive it forward.

Job Details:

The role will be challenging and demanding and due to the nature of their industry, it is constantly evolving. As a result of the pace and constant changes and requirements, we need a dynamic high achieving finance professional that will thrive in a rapidly changing environment with multiple adhoc requirements.



You will be supporting a highly successful and committed leadership team who are constantly innovating and looking for better ways to run the division. All ideas are welcome and they are all focused on the same outcome!



You will be leading a successful and passionate team of professionals that will look to you for guidance and support. You will have a leadership style of developing and building succession planning, always looking to improve processes and add value to the team.



Key duties of the role will be:



 




  • Lead and develop a team of 12 Accounting professionals through continuous learning and development and building an inclusive, collaborative culture




  • Partner the senior leadership team to deliver accurate, timely and compliant accounting for the Group




  • Act as a true Business Partner to Commercial to ensure that appropriate accounting treatment is in place to support delivery of reporting and requirements




  • Driving ongoing process improvement to allow maximum time to focus on critical areas where you add the most value




  • Managing ad hoc projects both inside and outside of your areas of expertise, in line with business needs and efficiency objectives, and influencing stakeholders of all levels across multiple locations and divisions



You will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with previous experience working within a large, complex business and managing large teams.
