Job Summary: Our business Stramit is part of the Fletcher Building Group and is a major Australian manufacturer of roll-formed steel building products including roof and wall cladding, guttering, fascia, purlins, flooring and structural formwork. We operate 18 sites across Australia, generates over $480M in annual revenue and owns three distribution and franchise businesses in the pre-engineered building market, Fair Dinkum Sheds, Shed Boss, and SOL Home Improvements.

Job Details: About the opportunity

This is an exciting time for our business as we are actively seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join a close knit and supportive team.

Our business’ focus is on growth and investing in their employees. As a result we are seeking a motivated and determined financial professional to join a fast paced business with ongoing growth potential. As the Financial Accountant you will form part of the team at the Erskine Park site and assume responsibility for the financial accounting function.

This is a very hands on and transactional role where you would be responsible for:
Processing various journals
Monthly accruals and General ledger reviews
Complete and maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations
Standard costing and system updates
Wastage and Inventory Reporting / Reconciliations
Freight Calculations, analysis and reporting
Preparation of expense management, FBT, BAS, GST returns (desirable but not prerequisite)
Provide a support function for the team and manage other ad hoc requests

About you

CA or CPA Accounting Qualification
2-3 years' in a similar role as Financial Accountant role
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Strong time management, ability to prioritise and meet timelines under pressure
Experience working in a fast paced, deadline focused, high volume role
Ability to combine strong analytical skills and problem solving skills with business knowledge
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Possesses ‘can do attitude’, ability to work in a team, ethics and integrity
FMCG, Maintenance, Construction, Building materials industry or Multisite background highly regarded
You will be working as part of an experienced, professional and friendly team and will be provided with ongoing training to foster your career development.
