Job Summary: Based in the heart of Barangaroo, a global banking corporation is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take responsibility of their accounting facet of their organisation. The position reports into the Head of Finance and is tasked with high level monitoring of internal controls and reporting, while ensuring compliance with relevant accounting policies and legislation.

Job Details: The role encompasses:

Reporting procedures, preparing budgets and forecast to Head Office.
Preparing financial statements and supporting documents to monthly close schedule.
Taking the lead in APRA regulatory reporting.
Analyse revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure they are recorded adequately and report on variances.
Managing and reviewing a team of accounting officers.
The right candidate would display these essential skills:

6+ years of experience in similar role.
Professional understanding of local accounting standards, legislations and commercial regulations relevant to banking practices.
High attention to detail and numerical capabilities to meet deadlines.
Strong database and computing skills – spread sheets, graphing and data analysis.
Good understanding of consolidations and dealings in foreign currencies.
Proven problem solving skills and excellent communication.
We would also prioritise those with:

Professional Certification – CA or CPA.
Postgraduate accounting qualifications.
Previous experience with reporting into APRA and taxation.
Fluency in English and Chinese – Mandarin.
