The Events and Festivals Coordinator will seek, lead and facilitate a program of diverse and creative events and festivals (internal, commercial and community) for Lake Macquarie City Council within the Arts, Culture and Tourism department..

This position is responsible for the effective delivery of the Events and Festivals Strategy and Action Plan. The position will provide positive and appropriate management of the team members and stakeholders, plan and deliver Council’s events and festivals to ensure that they are exciting, facilitate the staging of events and festivals in Lake Macquarie and ensure that all appropriate Council, financial and compliance requirements are met.

LET’S DESCRIBE YOU

Tertiary qualifications in Events Management, Theatre or Art Direction (or a related discipline)
Experience in initiating and facilitating a diverse range of events
Demonstrated experience in Events and Festivals project management and team development
Develop positive working relationships and management styles with team members, stakeholders and community groups to facilitate their active involvement in the development, planning, implementation and analysis of Council’s cultural events and festivals
Class C driver's licence

Salary: $90,403 to $97,326 + 12 % superannuation per annum (Grade 17)
35-hour working week
9 day fortnight
