Position Description

You will work for both partners on an even mixture of litigation and advisory matters across both environment and planning law including:

appearing in the Land & Environment Court in relation to planning appeals, project challenges, land acquisition compensation claims and defending clients in relation to environmental prosecution;
advising government departments and corporates on environmental and planning aspects of major projects (energy, waste and industrial) and renewable energy developments, particularly around approvals, contaminated land, biodiversity, threatened species, native vegetation, native title and Aboriginal heritage;
advise on Direct Action Plan and Clean Energy Legislative Package; the renewable energy credit and renewable energy target schemes; and carbon offset and bio-banking schemes; and
responding to environmental incidents and EPA investigations, management of obligations and risks associated with contaminated land, waste, environmental due diligence, audits and licence compliance.
