Job Details: About the opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Employer Engagement Manager (VIC/WA) and Senior Partnership Manager (NSW/ACT) – you will be responsible for strengthening the partnerships held by First State Super (FSS) and our Account Managed employer stakeholders. These stakeholders include all levels of management from C-Level down as well as key specialist roles within their organisation.

The Employer Relationship Manager is also responsible for maintaining a structured and unified account management framework for a portfolio of key clients. This framework will support them in identifying Growth and Engagement opportunities for First State Super that strategically link into the employer’s own strategic initiatives.

Key tasks and responsibilities

As a Employer Relationship Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

Strengthening existing employer relationships with the aim to improve overall engagement with Account Managed employers;
Leverage employer relationships to agree the delivery of FSS initiatives that provide mutual benefits;
Identify opportunities to support the development of relationships between employers to demonstrate an investment in their wider business;
Agree appropriate sponsorship arrangements with employers ensuring opportunities to enhance FSS reach is maximised;
Ensure a proactive approach to EBA discussions with an aim to solidify current default status or move to default status; and
Monitor the funds market share within Account Managed employers and develop strategies to enhance the funds position.
About you

To be successful in this role, you will be required to demonstrate recent experience in the following:

Prior experience as a Relationship Manager within a financial services industry or other highly competitive industry focused on Growth and Retention;
RG146 accreditation, ASFA Superannuation Diploma and/or relevant business-related tertiary qualifications;
A comprehensive knowledge of current and proposed superannuation legislation, industry trends and superannuation products;
Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders from C-Level down in a structured and unified manner;
Previous experience building a network of contacts across a sector through a variety of avenues such as conferences, events, contact referrals etc;
Solid presentation experience to present confidently to employer and stakeholder groups;
Strong negotiation and influencing skills, across all ‘levels’ within an organisation; and
Ability to analyse data, prepare and communicate a strategic paper to internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will also need to have the flexibility with travel and work arrangements outside normal business hours which may also include some weekends.
