Our client is a major player in the Australian Ports and Logistics markets, and the owner operator of what will be the largest freight intermodal in Australia. Currently in development phase from their office in central Sydney, this $1.5bn project is looking to recruit a Design Manager to play an important and long term role in this projects development.

As the Clients Design Manager for the project you will be responsible for the co-ordination of all design functions for the project.

This role requires someone with strong communication skills and a high attention to detail, responsibilities will include:

• Managing all aspects all stages of the project, design from initial concept, award of contract, detailed design, construction and commissioning on site.


• Oversee and coordinate all engineering/design aspects of the project and work with designers as well as the construction team to ensure that designs are produced accurately, timely and within budget.


• Take a lead role in problem solving and find innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.


• Identification of risks and opportunities, and search for cost savings during the design phase of the project.
