We are a well established global market leader in design, manufacturer and distribution of decorated party goods and accessories. We supply gifts, home décor, and tabletop products as well as being the primary source for gift wrap, gift bags, stationery and licensed products. Our products are manufactured in the USA and overseas.
Following a resignation, we require a skilled individual to take interim responsibility for managing the credit control and reconciliation of our Mass Sales Channel customers and to support the eventual handover of our Distributor accounts to our Speciality Sales Channel credit controller. Expectation is for the individual to consolidate the handover they will receive from the current incumbent and be able to conduct an effective handover of those tasks to the permanent recruit.
Key Accountabilities
Cover all aspects of mass channel credit control and account reconciliation including:
Providing accurate and timely information into the month-end process regarding the requirement for customer rebate accruals
Completing the Balance Sheet reconciliation and verification of all rebate accounts, fully explaining adequacy of provisions, calculations logic and identifying any over-provisions
Highlight risk areas where:
Excessive write offs are occurring and follow-up on improved process/structure proposed to resolve
Credit risk becomes apparent
Ensure that customer payments are recorded accurately and timely, managing deductions and reporting to management on issues and variances, ensuring the accurate processing of any necessary credits in line with company policies
Ad Hoc accounts driven requirements
Skills and Experience
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suites
High degree of accuracy and reconciliation experience
Attention to detail
The successful Credit Controller will commence on the 18th December 2019 and be available to work through Christmas/New Year (excluding Public Holidays) and report directly to the Finance Director.
