Job Summary: Lizard Island QLD Casual Delaware North at Lizard Island Resort are seeking dedicated and experienced Coxswains to join our Activities Team located 60 minutes by light aircraft NE of Cairns. Situated right on the Great Barrier Reef, there are 24 powdery-white beaches and 40 luxurious suites.

Job Details: As a Coxswains you will work with a small team to ensure our guests experience the very highest levels of service and safety while undertaking diving and snorkelling activities in and around the stunning reef off Lizard Island.

broad knowledge of the marine environment, particularly coral reef systems
the ability to engage & motivate your audience
provide an interactive yet safe diving experience
strong organisational skills
detailed knowledge of Marine Safety and Marine Legislation and best practice
a team player attitude
Main Duties include but not limited to:

Dinghy Inductions
Vessel Transfers
Coral Viewing Tours - Glass Bottom Boat
Turtle Tours - Glass Bottom Boat
Snorkel Tours - Glass Bottom Boat
Beach Drop off’s and Pick Up's
General Maintenance and Safety Checks
Picnic’s
Liaising with Beach Club to coordinate day to day running of Activities
Snorkel Guide – as required
Safety Watch - as required
The Following Certifications and Licenses are essential:

Coxswain Open (preferable) or restricted
Oxygen Provider (Qld WPHS recognised)
Current First Aid and CPR ( Qld WPH&S recognised)
A manual driver's license
Radio Licence
Elements of Shipboard Safety Certificate
Preferred Certificates:

Fishing Guide experience
Dive Master / Dive instructor
Responsible Service Alcohol (Qld Recognised)
Food Handling (Qld Recognised)
