Job Summary: Berrington Care Group is currently seeking a Cook to join our beautiful home in Como. You will create and deliver delicious, nutritious home-style meals for our residents. This is part time shift work position.

Our Cook will be responsible for:
The creation and effective delivery of nutritious meals for residents, ensuring dietary requirements are met
Effective leadership of the Kitchen Hands and overall culinary team and ensuring they have the correct skills, knowledge and support to effectively fulfill their role in the absence of the Head Chef
Ensuring the catering service is safe and of high quality that meets resident needs
Role Requirements:
Cert III in Commercial Cookery
Minimum 2 years in a similar role
Demonstrated understanding of the Food Safety Program and Legislative requirements (OSH, Fire/Evacuation, Infection Control)
The ability to cook home-style meals & pastries, along with food ordering & menu creation
Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
Pride in the quality of the food and meals that is produced in the kitchen
A team player but also efficient when working independently
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, Management, residents and family members
Previous Aged Care, Health Care or hotel experience is desirable
Valid National Police clearance
