Job Summary: Deluca Coffee is seeking a cook for our flagship café/coffee roastery in Botany. This position is suitable for a self-motivated person who has experience in a similar role or seeks the opportunity to join a team of quality focused professionals. The successful applicant will be responsible for representing Deluca Coffee in attitude, values and quality.

Responsibilities will include

· Food preparation and service

· Washing and cleanliness of kitchen and bathroom areas

· End of day procedures

· Stock rotation and FIFO control

Job tasks and responsibilities

The successful candidate must be

- available to work 6:00am-3:00pm Monday to Friday

- immaculately clean

- able to work alongside chef

- well presented

- punctual

- self motivated

- able to control food costs

- make sure all food is labelled and dated

- maintain a clean kitchen and food storage area

- efficient

- sign/supervise all food deliveries

- maintain correct food handling procedures

- place and manage food orders

- able to deliver the menu to a consistently high standard

Job benefits and perks

The cafe is open Monday to Friday, closed weekends and Public Holidays. We generally close for 2 weeks at Christmas.

Early start early finish.

All day street parking is available.

This job represents a rare opportunity to run a Monday to Friday kitchen with a team of dedicated professionals with no weekends and delicious coffee to keep you going.

Your team will include a head chef. The front of house team are all professional local hospitality people. Each of them well respected membersof the coffee industry (we hope you like your caffeine). The company has anextremely low staff turnover.
