The Role:

As the Senior Estimator/Chief Estimator, you will work directly with the Construction team and reporting into the Director, Project team and be required to complete tenders’ submissions, risk analysis, full take-offs, quotes for projects, sales costings and forecasting. You will set up supplier and trades agreements for rates and schedules, calculate quantities and liaise with the Architects, engineers, Site Supervisors/Foreman and the high wealth clients.

Demonstrated knowledge of analysing data methods from previously tendered projects, to compare any adjustments to future tenders. Procure and establish relationships with new subcontractors, suppliers and vendors. Have a proactive approach to the role with the drive to make it their own.

You will have:
Minimum 4 years of estimating experience with demonstrated ability doing full take off's, tender submissions and BOQ’s on high-end projects
Worked on projects ranging from $1M - $8M
Be highly organised, efficient, have excellent communication skills along with the ability to meet strict deadlines
Demonstrated experience delivering Custom projects locally
An understanding of purchasing and pricing for residential projects off the plans
Knowledge of Melbourne construction market, subcontractors and local suppliers and engineers
A high degree of professionalism, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills; a natural leader
Proven planning skills and strong industry knowledge
Excellent references and loyalty to current/previous employers
Experience using Buildsoft / Cubit software package ideally
Your salary will be based on experience, but they will be generous for the right candidate.
