The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Casual qualified and experienced Chef to join EPICURE based at the Taronga Centre, Taronga Zoo.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the running of all events in the Taronga Centre and all in ground events at Taronga Zoo. You will report directly into the Executive Chef and will collaborate with him on day to day operational management. A hands-on role assisting in the opening of the new centre and new state of the art functions kitchen

You are passionate about the Food and Beverage industry
Passion for providing excellent customer service at every point of contact
You are a results focused individual, ready to meet the challenges of ambitious budgets
Strong negotiation skills, which are resilient and determined
You can work independently yet are a team player focused on achieving goals and meeting targets
You have outstanding attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
You are supportive of your fellow team members and ready to help whenever it is needed
Minimum 2 year experience in hotels, or large venues as a Chef is essential
About the role:

Responsibility for delivering of high quality food for the site
Following of EPICURE food safety standards, policies and procedures
Pro-active and efficient service delivery, which anticipates and accommodates client needs
Development of strong and ongoing relationships with the team and stakeholders
Attend meetings and where requested, prepare and present individual activities and progress
Maintain thorough venue and product knowledge and an understanding of the EPICURE service standards and philosophies to ensure clear communication with clients
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Sydney venue and events market and key competitors
