Job Summary: Melbourne VIC Casual

Job Details: Looking for Carpenters to join our team of 16 working on various sites all over Melbourne.

General tasks that we do are:

- Timber framing

- Metal framing

- Doors

- Fit-off & Fix

- Cladding

- Plastering

- Architectural internal linings

- Suspended ceilings

- Concreting

All of our work is on small commercial projects consisting of schools, sporting pavilions, shops, hospitals Etc.

We are looking for carpenters of all levels, pay level will depend on level of experience and extent of tools you have.

Job Type: Casual

Experience:

Carpentry: 4 years (Preferred)
Licence:

White Card (Preferred)
Job Duties:

Reading and interpreting blueprints to understand materials required and installation process
Communicating with clients to understand requirements and respond to change orders
Cutting, preparing, assembling and installing wood structures
Operating light equipment (Bobcats, forklifts, etc.)
Repairing existing fittings or structures
Managing a team, dividing and assigning tasks as necessary
Training apprentices and/or coworkers
Identifying and recommending solutions
Ensuring adherence to building codes and regulations
Ensuring adherence to local job site safety rules and regulations
Effectively utilising different types of wood based on adaptability
Effectively utilising methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry
