Job Summary: Sydney NSW Permanent Our client is a leading Asia-based asset manager who manages investments on behalf of institutional and retail clients. They provide investment solutions across a range of asset classes including equities, fixed income, multi asset, infrastructure and alternatives.

Job Details: This involves significant travel between Sydney to Singapore. This position may require relocation to Singapore.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join at Assistant Director or Director level, as a Business Manager to support our client’s growing Alternatives business. This is a role that will act in close support of the newly appointed CIO of Alternatives. This Business Manager position will act as the conduit between the Investment team and the rest of the company. The role primarily be internally focused, to look at internal engagement and coordination with various parts of the business, not limited to but including Compliance, Risk, Operations, Dealing and Finance. This Business Manager position will be pre-deal or pre-transaction focused, helping the Alternatives investment team execute on investment ideas.

The ideal applicant would have several years of Business Management experience, ideally with a leading asset manager. The role would suit a Business Manager with a strong education profile and some prior experience ideally with a Private Equity or Infrastructure focus, rather than Real Estate. The ideal candidate would be high-energy, solutions focused, driven, quick-minded, enthusiastic and resilient to help manage the internal process to enable the Alternatives team execute their investment strategy. For this position, a CPA, CFA or ACA qualification would be held in high-regard.

The salary on offer will be depending on prior experience but will be a competitive SGD base salary + an annual bonus [up to 40% of base], depending on performance of the Alternatives business.
