The Role

Due to an exciting growth period in our national team, we are currently seeking a recently admitted to 3 years PAE Banking and Finance lawyer to join our Brisbane office. This role will accelerate your career path, where you can take ownership of transactions and clients with the support of two young partners looking to grow the practice into Brisbane’s pre-eminent banking and finance team. You will be required to take charge of deals from end to end, from quoting on costs to organising client business development. As a valued member of the team, you will be encouraged be part of the group’s culture, from taking part in the firm’s seasonal functions to celebrating our successes.

Our clients are top notch, and include major international and Australian banks, large and listed corporate borrowers, developers and property funds. We service abroad range of financing transactions across various sectors including real estate investment and property development, agribusiness, receivables, health and retirement villages, not for profit lending, and general corporate financings.

Learning and development is a key benefit of this role, and you will be directly trained and supervised by the partners in the team. You will also have access to the firm’s full suite of formal training options, which include our Success Academy workshops, CLE’s from all practice groups, a wide range of coaching and mentoring as well as external training seminars paid for by the firm.

Experience

Ideal candidates would be either recently admitted or have up to 3 years post admission experience having done a rotation or have some experience working within a banking and finance team, however, strong candidates with a background or experience in property law or corporate law and who are keen to develop into a banking lawyer are encouraged to apply.

We would also like to hear from those who are considering a move from interstate and we may assist a successful candidate with relocation.

You will have an excellent client service ethic, a desire to learn and to provide technically excellent advice and an enthusiasm to play a part in the continued growth our banking and finance team.
