Job Details: Your role

Built to withstand extreme conditions such as heavy rain, strong winds and salt-laden seas, the Seahawk requires expert maintenance to be kept at peak operational capability.

In the challenging role of Aircraft Technician you'll be given comprehensive training to carry out essential tasks, working on the Seahawk or other advanced helicopters.

You will learn to maintain, repair and overhaul systems and components such as:

• transmissions and power trains

• fluid power systems

• condition monitoring systems

• engine systems and controls

• auxiliary systems

• flight control systems

• environmental systems

• aircraft structures and finishes

• ground support equipment

• landing gear, and

• aviation safety equipment.

You'll carry out your duties in well-equipped hangars ashore or onboard ship, with access to the latest tools and maintenance equipment. The skills, qualifications and experience you acquire in the Navy will benefit your whole career.
