About the role
You will assist the manufacturing finance business partners in their role by maintaining budgets and forecasts, improving financial procedures and reports operating expenditure. This role requires curiosity, attention to detail, willingness to learn and the ability to communicate and connect with a variety of stakeholders.
Orica support workplace flexibility and this role will predominately business partner with stakeholders based in Helidon (approx. 1hr drive from Brisbane) so will be required to drive to Helidon 3 days a week and 2 days in Brisbane office in (Cannon Hill).
What you’ll be doing
Business partnering with stakeholders across multiple sites.
Financial forecasting and applying accounting practices.
Providing data and reports for regular reporting.
Contributing to the site profitability through identification and implementation of improvements.
Educating site employees in financial management concepts that can be applied on a day-to-day basis.
Ensuring systems and processes comply with all Orica, regulatory and customer safety, health & environment requirements.
This role is a feeder role to other senior finance roles, and we are looking for someone who wants to develop and progress through the finance team.
What you’ll bring
Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or Commerce discipline.
Professional designation CA or CPA or working towards.
Minimum 2 years management accounting experience preferably manufacturing.
We are looking for someone who has curiosity, attention to detail and lean mindset.
Someone who wants to improve status quo and can build relationships to become a trusted business partner to stakeholders.
Strong excel experience.
SAP experience is an advantage.
