Here’s the ij.start.canon guide to download and install Canon Pixma MX490 manually:- First of all, go to ij.start.canon to download the Canon Pixma MX490 primary driver or installation package. After downloading the basic driver or installation package, save it to the Downloads folder. Save the ij.start.canon installation setup file in your device hard drive. The users will need this installation setup file when the manual setup process asks for the driver file. Then, users will need to tap on the Start button and then click on Control Panel. Tap on Hardware & Sound and then tap on Devices & Printers. Further, tap on Add a printer. Now, tap on Add a local Printer. Choose “use an existing port” and then tap on “Choose a port.” Further, select your Canon printer driver. Select your printer brand name from the pane appearing on the left side. Now, choose the exact printer model number from the pane on the right side and tap Next. If the users don’t find their printer model number in the list, they can click on Have Disk and browse the extracted driver’s .inf file. After clicking on Browse Button, navigate the location where you have extracted the drivers and choose the drivers .inf file. Now, open up the extracted location and choose Autorun.inf and then tap on open. After clicking on “Open,” you will be directed to “Install from disk” and tap on Ok. Tap Next and move to choose the option Replace the current driver. Tap on Next and choose the suitable option to share this printer with other computers on your network. If you don’t want to share it with other computers, then click on “Do not share this printer.” Click on Next and then choose “set your printer as default” and then tap Finish.
